Giving thanks for the abundance of the land!

Time & Location

Barracks Lane Community Garden, Barracks Lane Community Garden, Barracks Ln, off Cumberland Road, Oxford OX4 2AP, UK
About the Event
The sun has been putting its’ power into ripening fruits & grains, and at Lammas the corn is swaying heavy with seed. The seeds from this year will become next years crops, and so the wheel keeps turning.... Time to gather the first of the grain harvest & give thanks for the abundance of the land.
We (Amanda & Elise) invite you to feast with us, to celebrate Lammas and to offer gratitude for the season of plenty!
Over the last few years, we’ve been marking the spokes in the Wheel of the Year, by holding Ceremonies & Celebrations for Women. This time, for Lammas we are offering something different. We are opening up this event to all genders & the wider community.
BOOKING: Tickets are by donation & profits will cover the costs for renting the space and go to the Barracks Lane Community Garden, which is a charitable organisation run by volunteers & is where we have been holding our Wheel of the Year Ceremonies for Women.
As spaces are limited, you will need to book a place.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring some Vegan/Vegetarian food to share, songs and instruments are welcome.
We will also have a fire (weather permitting!)"
